Barcode scanners are often used to capture and translate barcodes. Barcodes are captured, read, and decoded using the laser of a scanner. A common handheld scanner reacts to light and dark and is therefore able to reflect the light from bright spaces. During this process, an electrical and analog signal is transmitted to the scanner and converted into digital data that we can read.
