Polyethylene ribbonis an environmentally friendly alternative to PVC because it only releases carbon dioxide and water when burned. These films and ribbons can also be printed with thermal transfer printers. PE stands for polyethylene, a plastic that is used as moisture protection under floor coverings. PE ribbon is often also referred to as a vapor barrier or construction film. This prevents rising moisture from the subsurface from reaching the floor covering and damaging it.
